1 lb. asparagus
2 T extra virgin olive oil
1/2 tsp. salt

Clean asparagus, and take each stalk in your hands. Bend the  stalk, and the asparagus will naturally snap at the point where  it becomes tough.  You can also use a vegetable peeler to peel  the ends after breaking to ensure tenderness.
Place the tips on a heavy baking pan and toss with the olive  oil.  Roast at 400 degrees F for 8 to 12 minutes, or until  asparagus is tender and begins to brown.
Serves 4

If you have other dishes in the oven and would like to roast the  asparagus alongside them, use the chart below to determine  the amount of time needed for the asparagus.

375 F for 12-16 minutes
400 F for 8-12 minutes
425 F for 5-10 minutes
