2 1/2 pounds baking potatoes vegetable or olive oil 1 tsp. salt 1/4 to 1/2 tsp .ground cayenne pepper or your favorite seasonings Preheat oven to 350 F. Wash potatoes well and cut into 1/2 inch thick fries. Pat dry in a kitchen towel. In a large mixing bowl, toss potatoes with enough oil to coat, salt and red pepper. Spread on baking sheet in one layer. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until potatoes are tender and browned. Serve immediately. |
