| Loose Italian Meat Sandwiches This sandwich is a cross between an Italian Beef Sandwich and a Loose Meat Sandwich. It's a less expensive alternative but still full of flavor. 1 lb. ground beef 1 onion, diced 1 green pepper, diced 3 cloves garlic, minced salt pepper 1 tsp. italian seasoning 1 T. worcestershire sauce beef broth Kaiser rolls mozzarella or provolone cheese pepperoncini peppers (optional) Brown the ground beef with the onion, green pepper and garlic. Add the italian seasoning, worcestershire and enough beef broth to barely cover. Salt and pepper to taste, taking into consideration the sodium content of your broth, some are saltier than others. Bring to a boil and turn down to a simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes until reduced and just moist enough to put on a bun without getting it too soggy. Serve hot on the Kaiser rolls with mozzarella or provolone cheese and pepperoncini peppers. |
