| Smothered Pork 1 T vegetable oil 4 - 6 pork chops or pork steaks 1 medium onion sliced thin and separated into rings 1 can cream of mushroom soup salt and pepper - to taste garlic powder - to taste Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Season pork chops with salt and pepper and brown in the oil on both sides. Add onions, soup, 1/2 soup can of water, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for about 45 minutes. Serve with noodles, mashed potatoes or rice. Makes 4 - 6 servings. |
