1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1 cup baking mix (such as Bisquick)
28-29 oz. canned peaches in heavy syrup

Preheat oven to 350 F. 
In a 9 x 13 baking pan, melt the butter or margarine.  In a  bowl, mix together the milk, sugar and baking mix.  Pour  batter onto melted butter or margarine.  Pour off and discard  half of syrup from peaches. Spread peaches with remaining  syrup on batter. 
Bake 45 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbly.
Serve warm.
