| Peanut Butter Crunchies 3 cups sugar 1 1/2 cups dark corn syrup 3 cups peanut butter 15 cups (15 oz.) corn flakes In a large saucepan, melt the sugar and then add the corn syrup. Bring mixture to a boil stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add peanut butter and mix well. Stir in corn flakes. Mix well. Spread mixture onto a greased cookie sheet. Cut into squares. Notes: I like to crush the corn flakes slightly by pulsing in the food processor a couple times. Also try different cereals or combinations. I recently used Oatmeal Crisp combined with cornflakes, it was wonderful! This recipe is a good way to use up leftover cereal or an abundance of peanut butter. |
