| In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until well combined. Add egg and extracts, beat until well combined. Add flour; mix well. Chill several hours. Preheat oven to 375. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness, cut with a 2 1/2 or 3-inch cookie cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Sprinkle with the decorative sugars if desired. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Transfer to a cooling rack and cool completely if icing. Sugar Cookie Icing |
