1 lb. ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 T butter
4 T  flour
2 cups milk

In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the onions, salt and  pepper.  Add the butter and melt.  Stir in the flour and cook for  2 minutes.  Add the milk and cook, stirring frequently, until  thickened.  Serve over toast, mashed potatoes or hash browns.
