| Mom's Goulash 1 lb. ground beef 1 t. salt 1/4 t. pepper or to taste 1 onion, diced 1 green pepper, diced 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 t. paprika 1 t. dried basil 1 T. worcestershire sauce 1 can tomato soup 1 - 8 oz. can tomato sauce 1 can diced or stewed tomatoes, undrained 1/2 cup beef or chicken broth or water 2 cups (8 oz.) macaroni, uncooked |

| Brown ground beef with salt and pepper, adding onion, garlic, peppers, paprika and basil about half way through. When beef is browned and the vegetables are cooked, add worcestershire sauce, tomato soup, tomato sauce, tomatoes and broth (or water). Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Cook macaroni according to package directions, drain and add to sauce. Continue cooking for 5 minutes, remove from heat, cover and let stand at least 15 minutes. This gives the macaroni time to absorb some of the sauce. |
