| Hogs in a Sleepin’ Bag 1 package Kielbasa sausage 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed and lightly rolled out 1 egg Cut sausages into 4-inch long pieces. Lightly steam sausage pieces in a large pot until warm. Cut puff pastry into thirds (six strips) large enough to roll up sausages. Roll each piece of sausage in the puff pastry, and place on a baking sheet seam side down. Beat egg in small dish and brush generously over pastry. Bake at 400 degrees until puff pastry is golden brown, about 15 to 20 minutes. Great dipped in honey mustard, barbecue sauce or strawberry-apricot jam. Yield: 4-6 servings |
